Rough Grinding
Rough grinding involves removing a lot of material in the shortes possible time. This produces a relatively coarse grinding pattern. Grinding wheels are used for this. Rough grinding is used e.g. for welding work (machining the seam) or for deburring.
Rough Grinding
You can process (grind) metal parts with rough grinding wheels. A relatively high material removal is achieved in a short time. The levelling of weld seams with rough grinding wheels is, for example, widely used. Rough grinding wheels can also be used for chamfering, deburring or rounding edges. Rough grinding wheels are used on the angle grinder. They are very robust and have a correspondingly long service life.
Grinding work can also be done with flap discs. In contrast to the rough grinding wheel, however, the removal rate is smaller and the grinding pattern is less coarse.
Please do not use cut-off wheels for rough grinding. They are much thinner than roughing wheels and are only suitable for cutting. The only exceptions to this are our AS 46 T CUT + GRIND / AS 30 T INOX CUT + GRIND. These are suitable for cutting and light grinding work.
